The APPG on Global Education will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on February 28th at 4pm in the Commonwealth and Parliamentary Association (CPA) Room in Parliament. This will be immediately followed by a memorable event in with the Send My Friend to School Coalition on Education in Emergencies (EiE).
At the AGM will elect officers, review the previous year and look ahead to upcoming activities. This year, decisions will be made to bring the group in line with the new guidelines for APPG adopted in the House of Commons over the summer. All parliamentarians are welcome to join.
In the same beginning at 4:30, an exciting, interactive event with the Send My Friend to School Coalition will take place on Education in Emergencies (EiE). The event will be a marketplace-style discussion space, with thematic stations for Parliamentarians to visit covering a range of topics on EiE. Attendees have the opportunity to visit thematic tables they are interested in to learn more about and discuss EiE issues alongside young people, education advocates and civil society organisations. Participants will leave this event with a better understanding of the current landscape of EiE globally, issues to be addressed, actionable solutions and what we can all do in the UK to make sure every child can continue learning in times of emergencies.
